About the Artist
April Mummert was trained at a young age as a fine artist, in drawing, mixed media, painting and sculpture. This training came to fruition when she decided to attend the University of Cincinnati in Interior Design. April attended the college of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, earning a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design along with a Certificate in Historic Preservation.
With her background in Architecture and Interior Design as well as Fine Arts, April's jewelry reflects the love of structured architectural elements mixed with sculptural, tactile organic shapes.
Because Interior Design follows trends which are ultimately linked to the fashion industry, April closely watches color and design changes from season to season. These changes are reflected in the jewelry she designs, which allows her jewelry to evolve with the ever changing fashion trends, keeping her designs current and in style.
